Another Year; Still Here

Well 2014 sure crept up on me.  Haven't been keeping up w/blog.  

Partly due to laziness, but I'm still in the 20th century.  Old computer, no cellphone or other fancy stuff.

Myson did get us a new DVD/BluRay player w/Netflix.  

Am unhappy that some of the classics like Casablanca, The Third Man & Citizen Kane don't make the list, but that's what I get  for living so long.  Yeah, I remember Pearl Harbor.  So many wars--so little learned.  Stupidity and lying reign supreme in our gov't.

Nuff said as only NSA will probably read this.

I'm Still Kicking

Well, those of you that missed my posts now realize that 'm still alive and kicking.  This may be bad news for those looking for my obit.  Time will tell.
Beeen getting some PT for my legs so I can walk better.  Hope to come up with some bright ideas soon, butnothing right now.
My schedule revolves around my various Dr  appts says it all.  But my brain still functions somewhat.
So until we meet again, I'll be listening books on disc and listening to TheBlazeTV.  Adios.

Another Month Almost Gone

Here we are at the end of September and what've we done this year?
Gone to a 60th high school reunion where more prominent classmates were missed.
Then there's an election coming up, C's long-lost cousin is bringing her two daughters to visit tomorrow.  It's getting so I am in trouble for many comments, so I should keep my yap shut.
Too many Americans are totally disconnected from the real world and what is going on in it.  I guess I should be glad I'm at the high end of the age time-line.  Not good to be young and unemployed in this formerly great country.  Amazing how many bad things one person to cause to happen. Especially if they are Pres and don't remember Pearl Harbor as some of us do.
 

Back Again

Well, here I am again.  Haven't kicked the bucket yet but getting ever closer.
Have 3 lovely grandchildren here for a week and it's been hectic for Cynthia managing those 3 and me too.
Trying to catch up on the 10 books I have from the library, but the Olympics keep horning in.  More at a calmer time.  Finally figured out how to get them online.  Still not perfect, bu....

The Ides of March Have Passed, But Caesar Still Reigns

While we mortals still try to cope with the unusual weather, SCOTUS is trying to cope with what is euphemistically called Obamacare. We fervently hope that the bill will be deemed unconstitutional. We can only wait and pray. I do NOT want to see the vile Ms Pelosi as Supreme Leader of Congress ever again. That was my worst nightmare come true.
Let us pray that the people have more sense. And how can O lie to the American people as he has? Tis a mystery.

Internet is Back

Well, after about a week with no DSL modem, I finally received a replacement from the company that will take over IL's verizon accounts--Frontier. After about 2 hours on the phone to them, I finally got the Internet up and running. I can hardly wait until they change my Internet address from verizon.net to frontier.com. Then,I can send out a notice of change of internet address to about 80 places. That should be great fun and a big waste of time.
Must catch up with the back mail and reading.

Summer Is Almost Gone

Where did all the Summer go? They seem to get shorter and shorter every year.
But then our Government is about to shorten our lives for us whether we like it or not. Bring on the Emanuels with their Death Panels. It looks like the big O can't fix or handle anything, but cares not as long as his Progressive Agenda changes our world forever. What do we expect from someone who voted Present most of the time, never balanced a budget or ran even a local government?
It's a good thing I read Rules For Radicals, by Alinsky back in the 60s or 70s. At the time I thought it was a great way to bring down our country. Little did I realize that others were taking Alinsky's words very seriously.
This is what happens when you outlive people making decisions. You are aware of so much stuff that they'll never learn!

Healthcare and Beyond

Now that Obamcare has been shoved down our throat, I suppose it's time for Cap 'N Tax and the rest of the Socialisst program.
The fact that the Prez flat-out lied about the cost and the coverage, bribed congress and doesn't seem to care about the safety of our country apparently doesn't bother his group of apparatchiks. It certainly bothers about 2/3 of the country. I gues it's hara kiri time for most of us.
